Next Gen Stuff

Every generation is unique in their own special ways. Undoubtedly, when it comes to millennials, they are the ones who are taking over the internet and social media by storm.

In fact, according to the 2016 article featured on the website, marketwatch, approximately 39% of millennials interact more with their phones than with their family, partners, co-workers, and children. With this in mind, that would lead us to think about what they are actually doing on their phones.

Are they playing games? Watching on YouTube? Solving a Candy Crush level?

Rainer Koppitz, B2X Chief Executive Officer, commented that if your target consumers for your brand are millennials, then “one of the best ways to strengthen and protect your brand is to offer consistent excellent support across the globe.”

It is no mystery that the entire generation, today, rely on their smartphones for just about everything. From their bank account details, social media accounts, frequently watched videos, and games that they enjoy.

The only question here is, how will your business reach them?

If you are a business owner then you know that advertising is the lifeblood of any successful business. If you want millennials flocking all over your product, then you might as well try putting up advertisements on YouTube and Facebook.

According to a study published on B2X, it turns out that millennials look at their phones more than 100+ times a day! So that means that if you want your product to be known to them, then make sure that your company is visible all over the internet.

Gone are the days when people actually read newspapers and magazines, today, marketing is all about having a digital presence. Remember this, your customers are online and your brand should be too.

Also, since these digital natives usually spend their time on social media, then make sure that your business has its very own social media account. According to Google, about 97% of consumers use the web to search for local businesses.

If they have questions about your product, make sure that they can easily contact you via your Facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter.  No matter how small or big your brand is, it doesn’t matter once it is visible online! What matters here is on how fast and how “trending” your answers/posts will be.

Remember, make EVERYTHING fun for your customers. Answer their queries in a professional manner yet with sentimental, quotable, and FUN responses!

As a business grows, there is a sense of urgency in making yourself even more profitable. You do not have to shell out a huge amount just to pay a celebrity to endorse your brand. Millennials nowadays seem to think that internet superstars are comparable to regular TV stars.

That means you can hire famous YouTube stars like Felix Arvid Ulf Kjelberg (or better known as PewDiePie), Ryan Higa, Jenna Marbles, Michelle Phan, and more.

You can simply inbox them about your brand and maybe set up a way on how you can let them experience your products/business. For those in the cosmetics business, your company may simply send out samples to the bloggers and YouTubers and ask them to give out their honest reviews about your product.

Not only will your brand have media presence but also, you might be able to attract customers from the fan base of your chosen social media personality.

The final thing you can consider in order to boost your brand’s media presence is to make sure that you’ll post high-quality and Instagram worthy pictures.  It turns out that Instagram has about 130-150 million users making it one of the most influential websites for millennials.

Your business must always send out pictures of the product, tips, quotable quotes, and just about anything under the sun in such a way that the Instagram users will like and share your posts.

Again, the key here is to make it fun and exciting for your target customers. Ducttapemarketing, a marketing company, even stated in one their articles that the more compelling and engaging your material is, the more likely your followers (in our case, millennials) will like, comment and share your posts.
